Clark Wakeland
Satellite Engineer | Swimmer | Breakfast Enthusiast
Palo Alto, California
Hi, I’m Clark Wakeland. I’m a satellite systems engineer living in Palo Alto and former competitive swimmer. I love to swim, surf, and hang out with my friends. Currently I’m also trying to get into biking and running.
As an engineer, I’m interested in the dynamics and algorithms that determine the guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) of the vehicle, and testing those systems to make sure they respond correctly. I’m also interested in probabilistic modelling, deep learning, and its applications with data gathered from space vehicles.
I swam all through undergrad, graduate school, and even one year as a post-graduate. Throughout all of that time, my favorite part of swimming was the people I met and interacted with every day. You can read more about my athletic career here.
